Khaman Dhokla is a savory cake made with a batter of gram flour and a leavening agent. The batter is steamed in a mould to get a fluffy and soft savory cake. It is topped with a flavorful tempering made with mustard, green chilies, sesame seeds, hing and curry leaves.
Khaman Dhokla es un pastel salado hecho con una masa de harina de gramo y un agente leudante. La masa se cuece al vapor en un molde para obtener un pastel salado esponjoso y suave. Se cubre con un sabroso templado hecho con mostaza, chiles verdes, semillas de sésamo, hing y hojas de curry.

The texture turned out just right. It is light, airy, and super soft. When we lightly pressed the dhokla, it springs back beautifully. We loved how springy the texture was.
Despite having the dhoklas after a few hours, the texture remains unchanged. It retains that soft bite. We loved that!
